1. Who We Are

TeXume ("we", "us", "our") is a resume generation service. By using TeXume, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@texume.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address via our authentication provider (Firebase).

Resume data

To generate your resume, you provide personal and professional information including your name, phone number, email address, website, LinkedIn profile, work experience, education history, projects, and skills. This data is stored in our database and used solely to generate and store your resume PDFs.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store your card number, CVV, or any sensitive payment credentials. We store your Dodo Payments payment ID to confirm your purchase and upgrade your account.

Usage data

We collect basic usage information such as the number of resumes generated and when, to enforce plan limits and improve the service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate and store your resume PDFs
• To authenticate you and manage your account
• To process your payment and activate your Pro plan
• To enforce plan limits (weekly generation limits, storage caps)
• To send transactional emails (e.g. payment confirmation) - no marketing without consent

When you use AI resume tailoring, your resume data and the job description you paste are sent to Google's Gemini API (via Vertex AI) to generate a tailored version. This data is processed under Google's data processing terms. We do not use your resume data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your resume PDFs are stored in Google Cloud Storage. Your account data and resume records are stored in a PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase. All data is stored in secure, access-controlled infrastructure.

We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Access to your data is limited to the services required to operate TeXume.

5. Data Retention

Your account and resume data are retained for as long as your account is active. Free plan users have a storage cap of 5 resumes - older resumes are automatically deleted when the cap is exceeded. You can delete individual resumes at any time from the dashboard. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at privacy@texume.app.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services required to operate TeXume:

• Firebase Auth - authentication
• Supabase - database
• Google Cloud - PDF storage (GCS) and AI tailoring (Vertex AI / Gemini)
• Dodo Payments - payment processing

Each of these services is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@texume.app. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens set by Supabase). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the site. Continued use of TeXume after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
