Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TeXume ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TeXume is a resume generation platform that allows users to create, store, and download professional resume PDFs. Pro plan users additionally have access to AI-powered resume tailoring and a project bank feature.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Plans and Payment

Free Plan

Free accounts may generate up to 10 resumes per week (5 of which may use the DOCX engine), store up to 5 resumes, and use the Jake's LaTeX template. Older resumes are automatically deleted when the storage cap is exceeded.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan is a one-time payment of ₹2,999 (INR) and grants lifetime access to unlimited resume generation, unlimited storage, all templates, and AI tailoring features. There are no recurring charges.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law or as determined at our sole discretion for exceptional circumstances. Contact support@texume.app for refund requests.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is fraudulent, misleading, or misrepresents your qualifications
• Attempt to circumvent plan limits through automated requests or other means
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract the Service's source code or data
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the resume data and content you provide. By using the Service, you grant TeXume a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

You represent that you have the right to provide the content you submit and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

7. AI Features

AI resume tailoring is available to Pro plan users. The AI rewrites resume content based on a job description you provide. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all AI-generated content before submitting it to prospective employers. TeXume makes no guarantees about the quality or fitness of AI-generated output.

Do not include confidential or proprietary information about your employer in content you submit to the AI tailoring feature.

8. Intellectual Property

The TeXume platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by TeXume. Jake's Resume Template is the work of Jake Gutierrez and is used under its open-source licence.

Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand names.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated resumes will result in employment outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TeXume shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
